CON ARTISTS are abusing eBay to sell cloned autoes and con buyers out of thousands of pounds, a BBC investigation has learnt .

Thieves are allegedly exploiting auctioneer place eBay to sell stolen vehicles for the purposes of the name of a lawful vehicle, the BBC has received .

Con creators- dubbed" scum of the earth" by one casualty- have scammed eBay buyers out of thousands of pounds .
At least three vehicles in Greater Manchester were involved in the brand-new con.
One victim, a retired police officer, was conned out of PS17, 000 to purchase a Mercedes from a marketer in Rochdale .

Former copper Graham Murray reported the incident to the police, but tells no measures have been made. The culprits have still not get caught .
Speaking to the BBC, Mr Murray said:" The police have known about this organization since January .

An eBay spokesman confirmed to the BBC that the accounts in question had been closed down and included:" Cash on collecting is very unusual and we would invite customers to always pay via the platform when purchasing ."
A Greater Manchester Police representative spoke:" When "weve received" a report of any occurrence, we assess the immediate menace, trauma and threat to the public and allocate men and resources accordingly .
