Thieves are reportedly employing auctioneer place eBay to sell plagiarized vehicles for the purposes of the name of a lawful automobile, the BBC has acquired .

Con artists- dubbed" scum of the earth" by one martyr- have scammed eBay purchasers out of thousands of pounds .
At least three vehicles in Greater Manchester were involved in the brand-new con.
One victim, a retired police officer, was conned out of PS17, 000 to purchase a Mercedes from a seller in Rochdale .

Former copper Graham Murray reported the incident to the police, but announces no action has been made. The sinners have still not get caught .

The scam is known as car cloning, which is a common approach of vehicle steal.
The stolen vehicle is given the identity of a similar lawful gondola, including licence plates, framework digits and accompanying documentation.

Prospective customers can run a background check on the car and the details will appear to be correct.
An eBay spokesman confirmed to the BBC that the accounts in question had been closed down and supplemented:" Cash on collecting is very unusual and we would invite purchasers to always pay via the pulpit when purchasing ."
A Greater Manchester Police spokesman said:" When we receive a report of any incident, we assess the immediate menace, trauma and threat to the public and allocate officers and resources accordingly .
" We do this with full consideration of all the competing involves that we may be facing at that special age and a decision is then stirred on how to respond .
