At least three vehicles in Greater Manchester were involved in the brand-new con.
One victim, a retired police officer, was conned out of PS17, 000 to purchase a Mercedes from a seller in Rochdale .

Former copper Graham Murray reported the incident to the police, but announces no measures have been made. The wrongdoers have still not been caught .

An eBay spokesman confirmed to the BBC that the accounts in question had been closed down and contributed:" Cash on collection is very unusual and we were able to expect buyers to always offer via the pulpit when purchasing ."
A Greater Manchester Police representative suggested:" When "weve received" each of these reports of any occurrence, we assess the immediate threat, injure and risk to the public and allocate policemen and natural resources accordingly .
