Thieves are reportedly applying auctioneer area eBay to sell stolen vehicles for the purposes of the identity of a lawful auto, the BBC has noted .

At least three vehicles in Greater Manchester were involved in the brand-new con.
One victim, a retired police officer, was conned out of PS17, 000 to purchase a Mercedes from a vendor in Rochdale .
