Thieves are reportedly applying auction locate eBay to sell stolen vehicles for the purposes of the name of a legitimate auto, the BBC has discovered .

At least three vehicles in Greater Manchester were involved in the brand-new con.
One victim, a retired police officer, was conned out of PS17, 000 to purchase a Mercedes from a seller in Rochdale .

Former copper Graham Murray reported the incident to the police, but supposes no measures have been made. The culprits have still not get caught .

A Greater Manchester Police spokesman enunciated:" When "weve received" each of these reports of any occurrence, we assess the immediate menace, mischief and jeopardy to the public and allocate police and natural resources accordingly .
