An eBay spokesman confirmed to the BBC that the accounts in question had been closed down and supplemented:" Cash on collecting is very unusual and we were able to ask purchasers to always compensate via the scaffold when purchasing ."
A Greater Manchester Police spokesperson replied:" When we receive each of these reports of any occurrence, we assess the immediate threat, trauma and jeopardy to the public and allocate officers and resources accordingly .
