CON ARTISTS are exploiting eBay to sell cloned vehicles and con buyers out of thousands of pounds, a BBC investigation has felt .

Thieves are allegedly abusing auction locate eBay to sell plagiarized vehicles under the identity of a lawful car, the BBC has noticed .

Con creators- dubbed" scum of the earth" by one martyr- have scammed eBay customers out of thousands of pounds .
At least three vehicles in Greater Manchester were involved in the new con.
One victim, a retired police officer, was conned out of PS17, 000 buying a Mercedes from a vendor in Rochdale .

Former copper Graham Murray reported the accident to the police, but adds no measures have been made. The sinners have still not get caught .

That follows when he found out the vehicle was plagiarized- there was little chance he could get his fund back.

The scam is known as car cloning, which is a common approach of vehicle theft.
The stolen vehicle is given the name of a similar lawful automobile, including licence slabs, chassis lists and accompanying documentation.

Two motorists were scammed out of over PS17, 000 each
Prospective buyers can run a background check on the car and the details will appear to be correct.
An eBay spokesman confirmed to the BBC that the accounts in question had been closed down and contributed:" Cash on collecting is very unusual and we were able to query buyers to always compensate via the programme when purchasing ."
A Greater Manchester Police spokesperson responded:" When we receive a report of any incident, we assess the immediate menace, trauma and probability to the public and allocate detectives and resources accordingly .
" We do this with full consideration of all the playing requirements that we may be facing at that special meter and a decision is then stimulated on how to respond .

Another victim was a man from Forfar in Tayside who was scammed out of PS18, 300 when buying a expended BMW on the website.
Mr Alexander said he was " gutted" and named the con artist as" scum of the earth ."
