Prospective buyers can run a background check on the car and the details will appear to be correct.
An eBay spokesman confirmed to the BBC that the accounts in question had been closed down and added:" Cash on collecting is very unusual and we were able to invite buyers to always compensate via the programme when purchasing ."
A Greater Manchester Police representative enunciated:" When we receive a report of any occurrence, we assess the immediate threat, ill and danger to the public and allocate detectives and resources accordingly .
