eBay con artists are scamming motorists out of thousands of pounds online
Thieves are allegedly use auction area eBay to sell embezzled vehicles for the purposes of the identity of a legitimate vehicle, the BBC has observed .

Con artists- dubbed" scum of the earth" by one casualty- have scammed eBay purchasers out of thousands of pounds .
At least three vehicles in Greater Manchester were involved in the new con.
One victim, a retired police officer, was conned out of PS17, 000 to purchase a Mercedes from a marketer in Rochdale .

Former copper Graham Murray reported the accident to the police, but reads no measures have been made. The wrongdoers have still not been caught .
