Thieves are supposedly expending auction website eBay to sell embezzled vehicles for the purposes of the name of a lawful auto, the BBC has attained .

Con masters- dubbed" scum of the earth" by one martyr- have scammed eBay customers out of thousands of pounds .
At least three vehicles in Greater Manchester were involved in the brand-new con.
One victim, a retired police officer, was conned out of PS17, 000 to purchase a Mercedes from a seller in Rochdale .

Former copper Graham Murray reported the incident to the police, but supposes no measures have been taken. The delinquents have still not been caught .
Speaking to the BBC, Mr Murray replied:" The police have known about this syndicate since January .
" As a former police officer I'm absolutely disgusted. How can you have any trust in the police ?"

Prospective buyers can run a background check on the car and the details will appear to be correct.
An eBay spokesman confirmed to the BBC that the accounts in question had been closed down and supplemented:" Cash on collecting is very unusual and we would question purchasers to always compensate via the pulpit when purchasing ."
A Greater Manchester Police spokesman announced:" When "weve received" a report of any occurrence, we assess the immediate threat, suffering and danger to the public and allocate officers and natural resources accordingly .
" We do this with full consideration of all the competing necessitates that we may be facing at that particular occasion and a decision is then realized on how to respond .
