CON ARTISTS are expending eBay to sell cloned autoes and con buyers out of thousands of pounds, a BBC investigation has noticed .

Thieves are allegedly use auction place eBay to sell plagiarized vehicles for the purposes of the identity of a legitimate gondola, the BBC has observed .

Con creators- dubbed" scum of the earth" by one martyr- have scammed eBay purchasers out of thousands of pounds .
At least three vehicles in Greater Manchester were involved in the new con.
One victim, a retired police officer, was conned out of PS17, 000 buying a Mercedes from a marketer in Rochdale .

Former copper Graham Murray reported the incident to the police, but remarks no action has been taken. The delinquents have still not been caught .

That follows when he found out private vehicles was plagiarized- there was little chance he had been able to get his money back.

The scam is known as car cloning, which is a common programme of vehicle crime.
The plagiarized vehicle is given the identity of a similar lawful car, including licence dishes, framework multitudes and accompanying documentation.

Prospective customers can run a background check on the car and the details will appear to be correct.
An eBay spokesman confirmed to the BBC that the accounts in question had been closed down and lent:" Cash on accumulation is very unusual and we were able to expect customers to always offer via the platform when purchasing ."
A Greater Manchester Police spokesman enunciated:" When "weve received" each of these reports of any incident, we assess the immediate threat, distres and probability to the public and allocate detectives and resources accordingly .

Another victim was a man from Forfar in Tayside who was scammed out of PS18, 300 when buying a exploited BMW on the website.
