Thieves are allegedly consuming auctioneer area eBay to sell embezzled vehicles for the purposes of the identity of a legitimate gondola, the BBC has noticed .

Con craftsmen- dubbed" scum of the earth" by one prey- have scammed eBay buyers out of thousands of pounds .
At least three vehicles in Greater Manchester were involved in the new con.
One victim, a retired police officer, was conned out of PS17, 000 to purchase a Mercedes from a dealer in Rochdale .

Former copper Graham Murray reported the incident to the police, but tells no measures have been taken. The crimes have still not been caught .

An eBay spokesman confirmed to the BBC that the accounts in question had been closed down and supplemented:" Cash on accumulation is very unusual and we were able to request customers to always offer via the pulpit when purchasing ."
A Greater Manchester Police representative told:" When we receive each of these reports of any incident, we assess the immediate threat, damage and probability to the public and allocate policemen and natural resources accordingly .
" We do this with full consideration of all the playing requirements that we may be facing at that particular age and a decision is then represented on how to respond .

Another victim was a man from Forfar in Tayside who was scammed out of PS18, 300 when buying a abused BMW on the locate.
